// Black Friday, Black Weekend, or whatever it's called today, is advertised everywhere, especially on social media.
I have to admit that I get a bit ill watching it all. It's quite crazy on what level we are consuming today, we're never really satisfied. We always want more. I'm writing in a we-perspective, because I can definitely include myself too many times in this. I've always loved, and still do, shopping. So this is something I'm gonna be more aware of as well. Cause unfortunately, I've read that Sweden is on the leaderboard of the countries that consume the most goods in the entire world.
I think the idea of Black Friday is good. It's a great opportunity to buy Christmas gifts, expensive winter clothes, etc. to save money. It is therefore a good opportunity to buy what we really need or been longing after a long time!
But to overuse goods we may already have because companies express a special "Black Friday sale", similar to the other sales they have all year round, no, I really do not like that. It feels like this Black Friday has become a big trend for both companies and consumers, without me really realizing why.
I'm not gonna get all mad whether you choose to shop this weekend or not, maybe I'll buy something as well if, for example, I find some Christmas presents. What I think is that we have to realize that our world is not feeling well, and it is not getting better because of this crazy consumption that prevails today. I think it's extra important that we influencers who have a platform with the opportunity to reach out to many people, mentions this. The rush shopping is not needed, we kinda get tricked by the red marked price. Think one extra time if you really need what you intend to buy. Otherwise, give our world a little love by refraining from that piece of clothing or whatever it is. We can not do everything, but everyone can do something <3
